How long does it take to obtain a construction permit?

It is important that a Construction Permit Application be completed accurately and fully. Most applications that are denied are due to insufficient or incorrect information. Most permits that are deemed complete upon acceptance are usually issued within 2 weeks. If your project requires a zoning permit or other prior approval, receiving a building permit could extend the time a permit is issued. Please note that all prior approvals must be received by the building department prior to the issuance of a Construction Permit. Completing applications online will speed the approval process.
